Sprinkler System Maintenance

A typical sprinkler system generally requires service twice during the year. The first service is called a spring start-up. This is our opportunity to check your system out thoroughly and make sure that it will provide your lawn and landscape with the proper coverage throughout the season. Just as you should have your car tuned up and your home heating system cleaned annually, your sprinkler system needs this annual check-up. The winterization is an even more important service as an improper or no winterization at all can cause major problems with your system including a broken backflow preventer, broken pipes/ heads, leaks etc. If your system is under warranty please note that having us winterize your system is a condition of that warranty. Throughout the season, you may have to adjust your controller as the weather gets hotter through the summer and again as things cool down into the fall. (See Watering Tips). The property owner or manager (if a commercial site) should check the system a few times throughout the season as a head can break or a leak could occur at any time. If this type of problem occurs, just call or e-mail our office to have one of our technicians come out and repair it. We also would provide periodic check-ups for any customer who would be interested in having us perform them. We simply would charge for a service call and then time and materials from there. Some of our clients see value in this service as the cost of replacing the plant material and lawn that they are having checked is much higher than our service call and labor to prevent the loss.
