Start-up

A spring start-up includes:

turn on water supply, check backflow device for leaks
check all heads for proper adjustments and coverage
remove overgrown grass on sprinkler heads
check system for leaks
set timer for efficient watering

A spring start-up is an important service because we get to see and correct your system at the beginning of the watering season before any water is unnecessarily wasted or any turf areas or plant materials get neglected.

Think of it as your yearly tune-up and preventative maintenance. Call early to schedule this service, as spring is one of our busiest seasons. If you want your system started by a certain date, call a few weeks before to guarantee we can do it. We get a lot of last minute people calling on the first hot day in May who become angry when they have to wait. Remember, we can start-up your system even if you’re not ready to use it yet. It will be set up, tested and simply left in the “off “ position until you are ready for regular watering. If you know of a specific problem that may delay watering this spring- call now!!

Note: We will replace the 9 volt battery on all systems with digital timers at a cost of $5.00, unless you provide the battery. A new industrial grade battery will give you reliable backup throughout the season.
